It’s easy to judge.
It’s more difficult to understand.
I once read…”Understanding is an art and not everyone is an artist.”
That’s so very true…
Understanding requires compassion, patience, and a willingness
to believe that good hearts sometimes choose poor or even unhealthy methods.
Not everyone is compassionate and patient…Not everyone has a willingness
to believe that even good hearts sometimes choose poor methods. Not everyone
is even aware they are choosing a poor method that is an unhealthy method.
So rather than judging others which causes separation…In compassionate love,
we are able to make space for being a patient listener. We try to understand and
make the choice to believe the best and not the worst. We make a choice to not judge
or impatiently jump to conclusions. We make a choice to really listen to try to understand.
Through understanding, we grow. We grow in wisdom, love and with each other.
Remember…
Through judging, we separate.
Through understanding, we grow.
Let’s choose to grow together and not apart.
Choose understanding and stop the pain judging causes
not only to relationships but also to ourselves and others.
